When Was The Last Time You Asked Yourself : “What Do You Need Right Now?”

Your Body, Mind, and Spirit are ready, willing, and able to come to your aid.
But you must ask them the right questions.
When you’re tired, frustrated, overworked, and overwhelmed…
Stop. Breathe. And ask yourself “What do you need in this moment?”
Years ago when I felt like my life was spinning out of control, I started to question EVERYTHING.
AND in a moment of sheer awareness, I got this answer – Go to a  yoga class!
My husband walked into the bedroom one day when I was attempting to figure out how to practice yoga. He looked me in the eye and said –  If anyone saw what you’re doing, they would think you were crazy.
That was enough motivation for me to listen and find a REAL yoga class.
I can still remember walking out of my first life-changing yoga class.
I felt a delicious sense of lightness and movement in my body.
I would later come to realize my spine had opened up in a way I didn’t know was possible.
I couldn’t fathom feeling this good naturally. WOW! A true natural high. I was hooked.
I made a decision on my way to the car that night…  I would continue to practice yoga for as long I lived.
Now over 30 years later, I can look back with gratitude for all yoga has given me. Better sleep, a sense of calm in the midst of life’s storms, increased flexibility, and a connection to my body that allows me to recognize when I’m out of balance and how to re-connect with mind, body, and spirit.
Yoga opened a door to a more holistic way of life for me.
So glad I decided to “Namastay Awhile“.
Now when I envision my life, I include health as my top priority.
Yoga continues to be my great reminder to Stop. Breathe.
And ask myself “What do you need in this moment?”
